Entry Form IFA 2027: KersVers

Internationaal Filmfestival Assen | Vrouw & Film 2027

PLATFORM FOR FEMALE & GENDER DIVERSE TALENT: KERSVERS

It's that time again! From March 4 to 7, 2027, we proudly celebrate the 47th edition of the Assen
International Film Festival (IFA), with a rich offering of national and international films, compelling
masterclasses and workshops, inspiring network opportunities, our short film competitions
KersVers & Noordsterren and a range of fascinating side events, as always celebrating female
makers. We look forward to welcoming you all to Assen!

KersVers annually focuses on promising female and gender diverse filmmakers from all over the
Netherlands. We are looking for emerging professional talent and semi-professional filmmakers for the upcoming edition. We are committed to talent development and contribute to expanding the network of national talent. This year, for the eleventh time, we are presenting an award for the Best Dutch Film directed by a female or gender diverse director. The selected films will be judged by a professional jury, and the award, accompanied by a cheque of 1000 euros, is awarded during the festival.

We welcome submissions of both documentaries and fiction films in all conceivable genres, with
short or medium length, produced between January 1, 2025 and December 1, 2026. Read all our conditions here.

From October 12, 2026 to December 1, 2026 you can submit your film(s) free of charge using this form.

We look forward to watching your films. Don't hesitate to send an email to
inzendingen@filmfestivalassen.nl if you have any questions.

We ask you to send us a screener first. The screener is a copy of the film we will be using during the selection process. Please send us a Vimeo or Youtube link, and make sure that the video can be embedded. If you don't have your film online please contact us directly at shortfilm@filmfestivalassen.nl.

If your film is selected for the festival we will ask you to send us a master. The master is the copy we will use for projecting your film on the big screen.
